What I Think About the Holidays

As you can imagine, a pagan like me isn't especially concerned with the birth of Jesus Christ. As for New Year's Eve, I'm too much of a snob to want to party at the same time as everyone else.

And yet, I really like the holidays.

Precisely because (almost) everyone celebrates them at the same time. A bit like Sundays. We've agreed to do nothing on the same day, and everyone chooses how. Parks, walks, vacations, bike rides, family, satanic masses.

There's so little we agree on.
