I watch videos by Hank Green, an American YouTuber who talks about social issues.
I like him. He's at his desk. He talks naturally, with real involvement. The video is edited to cut the dead air.
It looks simple to do.
I think to myself, "I'd like to do the same thing."
I fire up OBS (software for filming yourself). A light.
I record to run a technical test.
I talk a bit to test the sound.
I end up talking for 18 minutes.
I post it on YouTube without editing:
I happen to be talking about improvisation (and old age, god knows why).
Honestly, I didn't even watch it to the end.
I watched the beginning. I thought it was pretty good. With one or two slightly laboured bits.
But never mind, it'll do.
I don't know if it's a one-off test or the start of something.
We'll see.
