A new practice?
When my life speeds up, I've noticed that setting up a practice often does me good. I commit to one activity a day, with a contract:
The result is mandatory, the means are up to me.
So I have to produce a piece of content (the result), but I do exactly what I want (the means).
That's what I call "discipline in the service of exploration": when I run out of steam, since I'm not allowed to stop, I'm forced to find a way of working that's easier for me.
That's how I get to know myself.
