After trying every possible angle, I've written the introduction to my book.

Yes, this is the one.

I know because it brought tears to my eyes.

And everything that felt complicated about the writing opened up.

Two realizations made that possible:

  1. "The square approach": you don't know what that means yet, I'll explain it (and it'll be very clear once you read it)
  2. I'm writing to myself. I didn't say "for myself," I said "to myself." I'm writing to the me of 5-10 years ago, to explain what got my life unstuck since then.
