Science & Storytelling - Championing Truth Through Stories

This is the theme of the workshop I will have the pleasure of leading on Sunday, July 6th, at the annual conference of the French National Association for Dual-Degree Health Programs (ANDCS) for its future MD-PhD and PharmD-PhD researchers.

We'll explore how a solid narrative structure (yes, the same one used in *Rocky* or *The Lord of the Rings*!) is an essential tool for creating an emotional connection and persuading an audience (a jury, investors, the general public...).

We will also address some of the mental blocks that often prevent scientific or technical profiles from truly finding their voice:

  • ❌ "Communicating is manipulating" (Spoiler: it's not)
  • ❌ "You have to become a salesperson" (Definitely not)
  • ❌ "It's just extra work" (Less than you think)

For those interested, an article summarizing the presentation and answering questions will be available on my site in the days following the event.

My thanks to ANDCS, Eva Galateau, Cristina Lemos, and the Institut Curie.
