Supporting Roxel at the Paris Air Show

A pleasure to support the Roxel Group once again at the Paris Air Show.

Our challenge this year: to translate key concepts from their strategy (competitiveness, agility, standardization...) into visuals that visitors could understand at a glance.

My work was divided into two key stages:

  • 💡 Strategy & Concepts
Gaining a deep understanding of the technical requirements dictated by strategic goals through targeted interviews with the R&D team, in order to translate them into visual concepts.
  • 🎥 Production & Management
Assembling and managing the artistic and technical teams to bring these ideas to life, particularly through the creation of custom 2D and 3D sequences.

A trusted collaboration that began in 2018 (with the founding of my agency, ChezFilms!) which allows me to combine strategic thinking with hands-on creation every time. Thank you to the Roxel teams for this lasting partnership.

Science Communication Workshop for ANDCS

Science & Storytelling - Championing Truth Through Stories

This is the theme of the workshop I will have the pleasure of leading on Sunday, July 6th, at the annual conference of the French National Association for Dual-Degree Health Programs (ANDCS) for its future MD-PhD and PharmD-PhD researchers.

We'll explore how a solid narrative structure (yes, the same one used in *Rocky* or *The Lord of the Rings*!) is an essential tool for creating an emotional connection and persuading an audience (a jury, investors, the general public...).

We will also address some of the mental blocks that often prevent scientific or technical profiles from truly finding their voice:

  • ❌ "Communicating is manipulating" (Spoiler: it's not)
  • ❌ "You have to become a salesperson" (Definitely not)
  • ❌ "It's just extra work" (Less than you think)

For those interested, an article summarizing the presentation and answering questions will be available on my site in the days following the event.

My thanks to ANDCS, Eva Galateau, Cristina Lemos, and the Institut Curie.

Create Your Niche (Not Just a Box)

Bob Fleurs - Construisez votre propre case

Bob really enjoyed his new niche.

To be identified – by your hierarchy, networks, the public – you need to be identifiable.

People need to say about you: "He/She is the person who... [unique activity]".

BUT, contrary to what is sometimes thought, this doesn't mean you have to "fit into a box," a well-defined category that doesn't suit you. No need to "truncate" who you are / what you do to meet market expectations.

You can absolutely craft the niche that you like. Make it as vast and personal as you wish.

AS LONG AS...

You are able to communicate its value to others.

This can be scary at first. When you build something custom-made, mass-produced messages no longer work. You have to take up the pen yourself. But:

  • You are the expert – you built it.
  • You don't have to convince everyone. A handful will suffice.
  • It's so special that it will surely attract attention.

And you'll see: once you've taken the leap and tasted the custom-made, it's hard to go back.
